Wind speed is not strongly correlated to the latitude of the locations, especially in overall analysis. However when we look at area analysis, it can be seen that in America and Africa/Europe/Middle East, extreme high wind speeds can only be measured either in locations greater than 40 degrees latitude or in the ecuador. Asia/ Australia as an area doesn’t experience these extreme high speed winds. Other factors seem to determine wind speed as regression analyses show almost horizontal lines.
